What is Dance Marathon at UF?
Dance Marathon (DM) is an annual university-wide event that is run and organized by UF students! DM’s goal is to raise money for the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital right here in Gainesville. DM hosts several fundraisers and events throughout the year, all leading up to the “main event.” DM’s main event in the spring of 2023 is the culmination of a yearlong effort to collect funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. UF students will stay awake and on their feet for 26.2 hours “dancing” to raise money and awareness to combat pediatric illnesses. Last year, DM at UF raised over 2 million dollars, which will be used for research, education, and patient care. UF PPAA was able to make an impact by raising over $2,800! This year, we have the goal of raising more money and continuing our dedication to DM at UF. We need YOUR support!
